Chocolate Chip Pancakes...YUM!

Ok, so this morning when I asked Anna what she wanted for breakfast she said Chocolate chip pancakes. Me being the crazy mom I am, didn't even think about the frozen ones in the freezer courtesy of one big name brand company, and said ok...we'll have to go buy some chocolate chips, but you know that Daddy makes better pancakes. She said ok and I know, but I want them. So, we proceed to get showered, dressed and ready and go buy some chocolate chips.

I get home and make the batter and say to drop in some chips. Ok, well, some is a lot to a 7 year old, but it was better that way. Here are some pics of what turned out to be MY BEST PANCAKES EVER!!!! YUM!!!

Right after we dropped in the chips:

Not so many chips in this one, but yum anyhow:

They were so good. Don't they look good? YUM!! We'll have to do that again if I remember how I made this batch so extra yummy!! Have a good day all!! Go make some yummy pancakes!!

20 bucks?!

What can you get for 20 bucks now-a-days? Here is what we got today while out shopping:

Not too bad if I do say so myself. Here is a basic run down of all we got. Anna and I had fun.

Wal*mart:

*Two loaves of bread 1.47 each

*0ne pair of running shoes for Anna $10

Office*Depot:

*6 packages of glue sticks at 20 cents each

Office*Max:

*6 boxes of crayons at 1 cent each

*6 folders at 25 cents each

Barnes*and*Noble:

*Book for Anna free

Krispy*Creme:

*2 donuts and 1 milk $3.54

Okay. So the glue sticks had a limit of 3, but when you get your child to check out and she's old enough we can get six. Same with the crayons. Limit 3, but Anna also checked out, so we got six.

Anna really needed some new running shoes that fit and they were listed in the Wal*Mart flyer for $9 so we went to look. Of course, knowing my luck, we could never find the sale shoes, but the ones she got were only $10, so I figured that was pretty good.

Krispy*Creme was NOT on the list of places to stop at, but one place, not listed, didn't open till 12 and I needed a potty break, so we went on over. Of course you can't use the facilities without buying at least one donut. LOL!! We got one each and shared a milk.

Barnes*&*Noble has a summer reading program and if your kids read 8 books and write their favorite part of the book down, you take that in and the kids get a free book from a certain selection. It was great!! Anna loves to read, so what better encouragement than a free book.

Anyhow, that was our fun of the morning. We got some good deals, most of which we will donate to a back to school drive or two for less fortunate kids and we had fun at the same time. When the money ran out, we came home. And yes, I only took $20. I had 50 cents in my purse, so it may be just over 20, but not too bad in my opinion.

Have a good week all. Take care and thanks for reading!

At least I know he loves me....

Ok, Ok. Weird Title. I know, but its true. I was having a very vivid dream about shopping somewhere with my sister and mother and all of a sudden some man comes over and asks for a certain book by a certain author. He says where's the person who work here. Apparently this was some little shop and they only had one worker at the time so I said he's right there at the checkout at the moment, but I can show you where it is. (Remember it was a dream...unless I was at work I would never really do this!!) Anyhow, I take him to where the books are and he starts attacking me. I mean out right physically trying to take me down. I was kicking and clawing and screaming. Yes, I was screaming help. Help me. Get him away from me. HELP!! HELP!! Apparently the last help was said out loud and my nice husband sat straight up in be and said "What the heck?" That brought me out of the dream almost instantly. I laid there for a few minutes and then started giggling intensely. At least I know he loves me!! I couldn't get any one's attention in the dream, but in real life my husband sits straight up tries to solve the problem!! I thought it was neat and funny. Like I said at least I know he loves me!!

Soccer/VBS Camp

My daughter is at Soccer/VBS camp this week. It was a perfectly free camp and she got a t-shirt. Yes, it is a horrendously ugly orange and yellow tie dye shirt, but it is a t-shirt none-the-less. She is super excited and she is loving it.

Tuesday she was happy as a clam and wanted me to buy cleats and shin pads and soccer shorts AND soccer socks. Uhm...nope. Not for a short camp like this one. Told her is she remained in it for the fall, I would go spend the money, but not until then. She was a little upset that she almost made a goal and someone came and took the ball away. She was also mad that someone made fun of her and laughed at her, but overall, it has been good for her.

Today I am going to sit in and watch a part of the practice before I leave. I'm bringing a trusty chair and I just want to sit in and see how she is actually listening and how she is doing with the classes. (I promise I won't stay long!!)

Anyhow, I better be going. Its almost that time. Take care.

Anna Prays

I have been teaching Anna to pray at night before bed. You know, more than the "Now I lay me down to sleep"....prayer. Usually she prays for a good night sleep and a good day the next day. Simple and basic, but out of the routine. Sunday night, out of no where she prayed for a lady at our church who is in the hospital with a burst appendix that she had so long that it started poisoning other parts of her body. Well, Anna was in on the conversation and she prayed Sunday night that the lady would be healed so she can come back to church. I thought it was very sweet and I am so glad that she is learning about others feelings and health. Maybe I am teaching her right from wrong even though sometimes it doesn't seem like it. It made my heart melt right then and there. Maybe I have got some of this parenting thing down. :-)

Sale Over!!

And life is returning to normal. My life no longer belongs to the store. YEAH!! I was there over 35hrs this last week and usually I am there about 24hrs. It was a lot of work, but we succeeded in getting everything done right with the sale. The only thing left will be all this week when 100 billion special orders start coming in, but after that, we are home free!! YEAH!! Majority of stress is over. I am very glad for that.

As for our schooling, I have everything we are going to need for the year, right down to new pencils and glue. That makes me a pretty happy camper. I have even started working on lesson plans for the first 6 weeks. I am very excited about our upcoming school year, but also very tired from the whole summer sale thing, so we will wait till I know I can handle it and I am rested. The good thing is that the lesson plans aren't dated, so we get done what we can and move on with life.

As far as facebook is concerned, I am starting to die down quite a bit. It was new and exciting, but it is just another large message board, so I check it about once a day, maybe twice now. The excitement is over for me. I have a lot of friends on there and even some that I haven't seen or talked to in years!!! I mean since 1993 and 2001, but the excitement of the whole thing is gone. I will stay on, but I won't be on all day.

I guess that's all for now. Take care and God bless. Love ya all. All 5 of my readers!! LOL!! Have a good week.

Lousy Blogger

Sorry, till after the sale on Thursday, I will be a lousy blogger. Not much happening that doesn't involve work and we sure don't want to hear all about that. I also discovered Facebook and L..O..V..E it!! It is fun to see who I can find on there. Anyhow, not much new here. We will have all our school stuff for the end of the week and we can start next week, if we so choose. Have a good day. Take care.

Doctor Update!!

I went for a doctor's visit today with my primary care doctor cause I needed more pain medication. In any case, he asked if I had been to the rhuemy and I stated yes and proceeded to tell him how my two visits with the rheumy have gone thus far. He first of all can't believe that he would tell me I have arthritis in my hands, but tell me in the same breath that all my lab work is normal and that it isn't RA. He also couldn't believe that he (the rheumy) flung the Fibro diagnosis on me cause I asked why I was in so much pain if it wasn't RA. (Of course I was upset and crying, but that still is no reason to do so.) Primary Dr also can't believe that the rheumy has never once sent him any reports of my visits and there have been two so far with another following in Sept. Primary Dr is convinced that the rheumy is wrong and is darn sure I have RA, despite what the rheumy says. He has had me on anti-inflamitories for about 8 months. At the time of the lab work for the rheumy, it was 6 months, so he knows what he is doing is working. We also know that. He also said that the inflammation I get is NOT from fibro. Primary Dr. and I filled out paper work and he is requesting my complete file from the rheumy and he will call me within the next week or so.

I was just shocked that the primary Dr agreed with me about everything!! YEAH!! So, now I sit and wait. At least I can do it with a little less pain. Primary Dr gave me more pain meds!! YEAH him!!! I love my primary Dr!! LOL!! So, now we shall see!!

Promotion Party

On Sunday, we celebrated Anna's promotion from 1st grade to 2nd grade. We ended up doing an ice cream social at a local park. It was a lot of fun and she had a great time. Here are a few pictures from the days festivities.

We had a great time and want to say thank you to everyone who made it out to celebrate such a wonderful day with us. Anna is really excelling with school. Her largest accomplishment is reading, where she is reading at a 4th grade level (at least) already. She loves chapter books and loves to read the Bible. We are very proud of her and love to recognize her big achievements. Way to go Anna!!
