Pictures

Alright, here are some pictures from this week. The first are Sunday, Anna is spinning in circles making her dress flare out. She calls it her "ball dress." It is a very cute red gingham dress and she loved wearing it. (That is a horse in her hand. She loves horses and brings one about anywhere.)

This next one is from yesterday. We went out to the local 9-11 memorial and tried to explain it as simple to her as possible about our freedoms and the reason for all the flags. She really liked all the flags and seemed to understand what we were talking about. She was genuinely sad about all the deaths and asked if they were in heaven.

Here are some long ago promised pictures. The first shows Anna writing mom and cat. Two of her favorite words to write. She usually writes mom and our last name and tells me she wrote my name. It is very cute.

This one is Anna's first picture of a horse and she asked me to spell it. Excuse the backwards 's.' It was written solely by a 5 year old, all I did was spell it.

Alright, that is enough for today. Hope you all have a good day. We are heading to a "Kiddie Korral" with the church tonight and I will try and get some cute pictures and post them too. God bless.

SO FUNNY!!!

Alright, if you have a weak stomach, don't read this, but on one of the blogs I read, the story was so hilarious to me, that I have to give you a link. It is called Spit Up, and she writes about her two boys. I think Barrett is 2 and Fisher is a baby. Please follow this link to read. I died laughing tonight!! By the Way, Jeremy thinks I am weird for thinking this was funny, but it was too hilarious. I thought I had about heard it all with kids!

Slacker Needs More Time!

I have gotten no where on the unpacking of my mom! I feel like a slacker. I have been so busy with daily life, that there really hasn't been nuch time to go unpack her boxes. UGH! I need to get over there and get her straightened out. If I can line the rest of her shelves, we can get rid of all the boxes in the kitchen and bathroom counters. The other thing I need to do is get her living room in order and cleaned up. Then, at least it will look a bit better. To add to that, I need to take that broken bookshelf out so we can at least get in her spare room and then we need to start moving things around in there to make room for the new bookshelves or whatever she puts in there to hold all her movies and books and such. It is still alot of work. If only I could find more time in the day to get over there.

I am still trying to get used to homeschooling as well. We are losing the lessons this Friday due to an Eye Doctor's appointment in the morning, then there is the homeschool kids meeting in the afternoon (good socialization), and then I work. Where do I make that up? I also work on Saturday all day, so Saturday night is out. Can I do it next Sunday afternoon? I wonder. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. The least that will happen is it doesn't work and we re-do it next Monday?! Who knows.

As for everything else, I know I promised you pictures of a few things, so i guess I can get busy and start downloading some from the camera so you can see them, but then again, that may throw my schedule off too!! LOL! I can't believe I just said that. Anyhow, I will get them up here, I promise. Have a great week and hope to be on again tomorrow.

Still Here

We are still here. I have been extra busy, and my mother's place still is not much better than the day she moved in. We have gotten rid of some trash, and I have lined about half her kitchen shelves and started to wash and put away dishes, but there is a lot more to do to make the place a home. I need to finish breaking apart another bookshelf that never made the move...well, it actually made the move, but two cats somehow knocked it over, and it is in about 3 pieces now on the floor and on top of other boxes. It looks pathetic actually, but it will be Sunday or so before we get it cleared out.

Anyhow, then there is Anna. Michelle (my sister-in-law) told me today that Anna acts just like me. She says she acts like me and makes the weird faces that her daddy, Jeremy, makes. I am glad that people are realizing that she is very much our little girl, I have had NO doubt ever. She has always acted just like I did, but I don't remember doing it so young. Did I act that way at that age...Mom?? Dad?? If I did, I am sorry. I don't remember it. Anyhow, if she is soooo much like me, then how come we have such attitude issues lately? She thinks she can act like everyone else and we will just tolerate it. HAH! Fat chance! That attitude is going to hit the road and quick. I do not like having a snotty little girl. I want my sweet baby back, the one who always complied and says yes ma'am, and yes sir! I don't like the back talk and I think we are getting there somedays and other days I feel like I have done something wrong. Anyhow, any tips on how I can keep her on track? We already read the Bible everyday and i have her learning Bible memory verses. Any other hints? Need more ideas!

Anyhow, I better close this off for tonight and go play games. LOL!! Have a great weekend all.

I am home!!!

We are home. I am exhausted and tired and I still have a LOT of work to do, but I get to sleep in my own bed tonight!! If I NEVER sleep on another air-matress again, I will be thankful!! We have everything in the apartment for my mother, but it definately needs a LOT of work. Her second bedroom was the main dumping grounds, but at least we can take the U-haul back tomorrow. I will be over at her house trying to fix it up and get things in order for her. We have a lot to unpack and a little to put together. In the total move we lost a bookshelf, that was too old to move, it fell apart, and a lamp, which somehow got destroyed in the truck, but overall, not too bad. I can not WAIT for the next Mother's Night Out!! I need a break in the worst way!! LOL!! Thanks for the prayers all. Take care.

Little more

Doctors appointment for my mom was only about an hour or so, so not too long. The doctor for the state says she is definately disabled and that her neurology doctor, that she uses for her M.S. is one of the best in the state, and that her personal disability insurance is playing games and doesn't want to pay out the money. If the state of Texas says she is defiantely disabled, why the heck is her personal insurance playing games with her and making her worse! AGH! It makes no sense, but if she gets her SSI through, which she will from the sounds of this doctors appointment, then she WILL get her personal insurance through. They will have no choice bu t to pay for what they should have been already. I am glad we got that done.

As for packing the house....still only about 1/2 way done. By the time we went to the doctors, saw people at her old work, went to McDonald's for lunch so Anna could play, went to the DMV, and went to Wal-Mart, the day was about over. I did get a little bit more packed, but not near what I wanted. Today I have no choice. I MUST FINISH PACKING!!! LOL!! We load the U-Haul truck tomorrow. Alright, I better stop procrastinating, and take my shower and get busy for the day. Take care all.

Progress

Well, we are well under way to moving my mom down by us. I have about 1/2 the house packed up and we have already sold some of the items. Anyone need a fridge?? For some strange reason those are the only two things that haven't gotten any bites yet on the sale list. We are trying to sell everything of value. Does anyone know if a pawn shop will take a fridge?? Hey, something is better than nothing and these fridge are really nice. One is two years old and one is three years old. GREAT condition. LOL! Anyhow, I have gotten more boxes and we will take mom to the doctor today for her SSI appointment. Hopefully they don't drag it out and keep us there all day, but you never know. Then, it is back here to packing, packing, packing. Anna is doing really well with it all. She has gotten on JumpsStart Kindergarten here, which gives her some school time. I aslo picked her up some new toys last night to play with as she has done super good with me being so busy and there not really being much to do here. Anyhow, i do miss my bed. The air mattress is just not cutting it anymore. It is killing my back after 3 nights. Only three more nights of sore back. Anyhow, I better get busy as I need to to shower. I went to bed with wet hair last night and boy is that a sight to see on my head. LOL! Have a good day. Take care all.
